Martin Hayes and Dennis Cahill in Concert, November 17

Sparsely accompanied fiddle music has rarely sounded so complete and so essential. —Q magazine

When Martin reclaimed his traditional roots, reinvigorated, and after recording two solo albums, he began a new musical relationship with Cahill, beginning with the lyrical music of East Clare. They played long, sometimes thirty-minute, multi-tune sets in their concerts, starting from the simplest of melodies, building in intensity, but never abandoning musicality and ideas. [More]

The Celtic Junction Grand Re-Opening and First Annual Halloween Bash, October 29

After the fire damage in December of this past year, The Celtic Junction is undergoing a significant remodeling of the south building and the lobby providing two new dance studios with separate lobby space, more bathrooms and a new custom built location for the Center for Irish Music. As the building next door is no longer there, we are acquiring the vacant land and creating a 24 stall parking lot for the exclusive use of Celtic Junction Patrons. This is perhaps the most exciting aspect of the expansion. Yehhhh for parking!!

Construction is underway and will be ongoing for a while.  If you swing by the building you'll notice that our main entrance is no longer up the set of stairs, it is now the door that opens into Inis Mor and is clearly marked.  It's happening folks!  Exciting! To get updates and pictures on the construction, be sure to "like" Celtic Junction on Facebook.[More]

Neither stale remakes nor pandering pop approaches can be found here. Aided by Rumgumption bandmate and guitarist Brian Barnes, both musicians have infused exciting lyrical and instrumental takes within a dizzying array of material reflective of Celtic/English styles. Dance, lyricism and balladry are all given the royal treatment by a world class ensemble."
